Acrylic pen blanks mounted on mandrel ready to be duplicated from template.
I adapted a wood lathe duplicator from Penn State industries for use on the Taig. To make it easily and readily available for use I mounted it on hinged arms. The duplicator rotates out of the way quickly.
Hinged stop keeps the duplicator safely in the stored position. When the stop is rotated up the duplicator can be placed in the working position.
Duplicator rotated down in the working position.
The two black knobs are loosened and the duplicator is slid forward against the lathe bed which aligns the tool bit perpendicular to the z axis.
Two adjustable stops (white bushing with thumb screw) were made to prevent the tool bit from contacting the tail stock or head stock.
Duplicator with protective shield in place.
